HAVE SOME FUN!

 

I can still hear my younger brother, John, saying to me, “Christine, think of money as “Fun Tickets! – Think of money as Fun Tickets to go out and do all the fun stuff you want to!”

 

He was right! The older I get, the more I realize just how wonderful and wise my little brothers money words really were.

Life is so precious and can be filled with so much joy. Life goes by fast.

And, if we are not mindful of taking time away from work on a regular basis for rest, relaxation, and fun, we can end up regretting and wishing for these lost opportunities.

There really is a great wisdom in taking time out everyday to “smell the roses”.

 

A dear friend of mine recently shared with me that this year he has finally realized how important it is to turn his thoughts of “someday I will have fun”, into “today, I am having fun, and enjoying my life and my loved ones!”

 

My friend also told me that by making this change, his life has totally shifted while bringing his family so much closer with deeply shared moments of happiness.

 

FINDING FUN

 

So, if you find yourself bogged down in a dreary and exhausting routine, here are a few simple things you can do to put a smile back on your face:

 

Think about and write down 10 fun things you would like to do.

 

Include things you have totally forgotten about or have never done before:

(Miniature golf, tennis lessons, pine needle sledding, a ride on the local

merry-go-round or ferris wheel, ice cream at the park, walking the

town rose gardens, hula or square dancing, singing with a choir,

trying out a delicious new recipe, walking through your neighborhood,

taking a quilting class, a piano or flying lesson, going fishing and whale watching.

There are so many cool things to do in our world.

 

Why not take a little time explore Google for fun stuff or fun hobbies and events

in your town? Write down your favorite things – the ones that really intrigue and tickle you, and then do one! And then do the 2^nd one, and keep on going!

 

You will probably find yourself feeling more fulfilled happier right away.
